THE ASK —
The founding team at No. 8 came to us armed with incredible research on the subject of nootropics and adaptogens, and firsthand experience with how they interact with the body and mind to support healthy brain function and overall wellness. Their vision was to launch No. 8 as a product and a platform to demystify nootropics and make mental health care analogous to brushing your teeth — something you do every day because it's a good habit that rewards you over the long term. As massive fans of adaptogens and big believers in the idea that mental health is critical to overall health, we jumped at the chance to launch the No. 8 brand.

WHAT WE DID & HIGHLIGHTS —
Launching a new brand into a hot space is difficult, so we took the time to craft a solid foundation for the experience, viewing our approach through the lens of compassion toward self and toward others via the habits, rituals and daily positive gains from working toward, attaining and maintaining a state of overall mental wellness and emotional balance.
Our overall strategy centered on articulating and differentiating both the product itself and its purpose in the larger space of nootropic and adaptogen-based health and wellness. With the current marketplace full of confusion, tech-bro biohacking, pseudo-science-speak & wellness elitism, we chose to lean into clarity, confidence, efficacy, transparency & beauty channeled through a lens that collides Asian medicinal & cultural heritage with modern consumer aesthetics and sensibilities.
Our design principles were born of this layered approach to the brand launch strateg and each UX and UI decision was aimed toward creating a unique environment & powerful narrative that fuels a self-reinforcing loop of interest, intent, adoption, consumption, loyalty, engagement & support. We viewed the education & purchase funnel beyond just a way to sell product — for No. 8 it acts as a pathway to improving individuals, families, societies and the overall human condition through nootropics-based daily self care.
