KEY CHALLENGES —
01. Outdated Platform
For its first 9 years, Framebridge launched and operated on a home grown, open-source commerce platform. Over time, the platform atrophied and more and more resources were spent maintaining instead of innovating. Ultimately, this began holding back their growth and created real business risk.
02. Stagnant UX
Launched in 2014, Framebridge was, and still is, a trailblazer. But as DTC evolved, so did the competition — and a lot of it. The brand and business of Framebridge outgrew the old sites ability to stay current with a new class of mobile-first and socially savvy customers — and the brand image began to fade underneath the hard-to-update features.
03. Fragmented CX
As Framebridge grew their physical store footprint and offered more complex products and services like design consultations, managing their CX during periods of growth and high-traffic became untenable. With features like buy online pickup in store and virtual design sessions, a homegrown platform simply wasn't agile or flexible enough for their growth plans and CX vision.
04. Speed & Scale
Modern DTC & omnichannel success requires speed and scale. Planning, creating and deploying the kinds of innovative customer experiences, marketing & growth initiatives, real-time pivots and continuous improvements that drive transformational results simply couldn't be done on Framebridge's old platform.

While competitors run toward cheaper & faster, our strategy aligned Framebridge with differentiating through their product quality, care when handing customers most cherished items, and vastly superior USA-based materials and manufacturing.

Seamlessly integrated education modules and content sections showcase Framebridge's industry-leading manufacturing and handling process, building trust and offering assurance throughout the shopping journey.
SHOP-ABLE MOMENTS & EXPRESSIVE DESIGN SYSTEMS —
Shop-able moments appear at every turn — highlighting both the personal nature of the items being framed and providing inspiration to customers by showcasing the creative and unique spaces their framed object might live in, all while differentiating Framebridge from it's "convenience" based competitors.
Even the most technical moments of the journey are infused with joyfulness, clarity and purpose — helping to turn browsers into buyers.

OMNICHANNEL DESIGN FOR 2-WAY TRANSACTIONS —

Pattern & our development partners at SDG designed and built a true omnichannel cart that is persistent across website, POS and even the Framebridge app.
Our powerful cart UX pushes Shopify Plus & Shopify POS to its limits with deeply integrated features like product pre-visualization, buy online pick up in store (BOPIS), in-cart upsells, gift notes, line-item duplication, in-store drop off of items to be framed, and much more.
Custom POS apps were built to give Sales Reps access to customer carts, a custom framing flow and the ability to build custom frames on POS.
Shopify POS for Framebridge takes the form of a custom framing tool. This intentionally keeps Sales Reps out of the Shopify Admin for complex actions and keeps the focus where it's most valuable — on the customer and their needs.
It's an enterprise-worthy. setup, it scales smoothly and provides a unified customer experience across Framebridge touch points.
