The new frontier of this space hinges on brands abilities to distil complex biotech-centric terms and concepts into clear, concise, human-centric narratives that address problem areas in innovative, exciting new ways.

THE ASK —

Launching a new brand in the crowded clean beauty space is no easy task. There needs to be a strong reason to buy, and a killer product differentiator. Enter "Inflammaging" and Naringenin.

With a breakthrough product in hand and backing from L'Oreal, Debut Biotech approached us design and launch an immerseive ecommerce website for their first-ever consumer brand launch, Deinde.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS —

We knew from the get go that educating and enlightening consumers was going to be the key to a successful launch.

Given the context and the completely new nature of the product, we would need to come up with scroll-stopping, eye-catching ways to establish the concept of inflammaging and it's root causes and signs, while selling the benefits of how Debut & Deinde's breakthrough ingredient Naringenin solves this problem for a diverse array of potential customers.

Our project kickoff was a crash-course in cutting edge biotechnology and how Narigenin, the hero ingredient powering Deinde's product line, came to be.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS —

Working in lock-step with the leadership teams at Debut & Deinde, our team at Pattern designed a rich, informative and bold customer journey that's part skincare 101 and part biotech lab.

Every key entrypoint and touchpoint of the site balances evocative and immsersive content & motion with education & persuasion that's backed up by clinical trials.

Customer reviews, interactive before & after components, and customer-centered testimonials help Deinde build credibility for its results and efficacy, while the striking nature of the macro-style photography highlights the products attributes and celebrates a huge diversity of skin types.

The overall user experience leans heavily into theatrical moments — strikingly bold messaging, data and manifestos reveal themselves as users scroll through the page, while snippets of video create richness and depth to the shopping experience.
