One of the fastest growing brands in retail, Rails teamed up with Pattern to rethink its eCommerce experience and unify brand, lifestyle, merchandising and product differentiation into a seamless shopping experience.
Today, we're excited to announce that Pattern has partnered with Rails Clothing to redesign its eCommerce site. The new site is designed and built on Shopify Plus' new Storefront 2.0 and provides an elevated user experience for shoppers and a fresh update for how the Rails brand shows up in digital.
The goals of the redesign were to create a more seamless, visually immersive shopping experience for the Rails brand that tells a unique, contemporary fashion story while weaving in new functionality to increase discovery and drive higher conversion rates.
Taking full advantage of Storefront 2.0, our team worked to craft a tasteful & simple UX core and elevated digital visual language, powered by Shopify Plus' operational speed and scalability. The new site features a clean, modern design that is optimized for conversion while leaving ample space for lifestyle stories and deep dives into brand differentiators like fabric hand-feel and global design influences.
"Brands like Rails are really fun to work with. They have a clear idea of who they are and what they stand for, and their bootstrapped independence means they can make the investment and take the time to get the experience right."
The user experience is smart and streamlined, with a focus on product discovery and exploration. Working directly with the leadership team, we designed a robust set of functionality that will allow Rails to scale both its business and its capacity for digital storytelling as they continue to grow.
"Brands like Rails are really fun to work with" said Michael Janiak, Co-Founder and Executive Creative Director at Pattern. "They have a clear idea of who they are and what they stand for, and their bootstrapped independence means they can make the investment and take the time to get the experience right."
